Don't know where this thread will lead me but thought I might start looking for the history of my father's activity in WWII.
His name was Stanton David Richart, the recipient of 3 Silver Stars, 2 Purple Hearts and I believe the French Croix de Guerre. (of rather a greenish braid that was awarded to him, or so I was told)
He passed away at 39, I was 13. The little I know: he was army intelligence, I think.
Just attempting to learn more.
