Yes, I know, it can be very confusing. I was confusing the 337th Infantry and 337th Field Artillery Battalion until very recently. I was trying to deduce what division my grandfather was in; he was in the 337 Field Artillery Battalion. Your father would have been in the 85th Division also know as Custer's Divison.
