Goodmorning everyone. I'm looking for information on /Sgt. M.K. MATCHETT. This name is written inside an US helmet whit 88 Inf Div insigna, found in Italy. I am looking for info on this soldier, can someone help me? thank's Hi, Welcome to the group. Here's what I pretty much say to these kinds of questions ... "Hi, You'll have to start reading. There were 15,000+ men in the 88th and there aren't any 88th historians that have all this knowledge memorized or many vets that are around to ask but you're lucky that the division files exist to read. There's quite a bit on the MtMestas.com website." Not meaning to say don't bother to ask but ask but don't get your hopes up. This is a small group of 50 family members mostly who probably wouldn't know. His name might be in the casualties or medals lists in the back of Delaney's book Blue Devils in Italy. I'll try to look later today. But keep asking and look for private websites and make yourself a Facebook page about it and let people find you. gs
