Hi all,
My grandfather, Francis Dann, was a member of the 350th Regiment and received a Purple Heart when he was wounded at the Battle of Monte Cassino. He was a mortarman and never spoke about the war much. I just wanted to reach out if anyone had a relative that served alongside him in the same platoon, squad, or had stories about him.
Thanks,
Mike

At the end of the war, there was some merging of the 34th with the 88th. In fact, they once held a reunion together years later. By that time though, most were replacements and the high point soldiers had gone home. It is a possibility, though, especially if he re-enlisted.
