Hi, I recommend you get a free trial subscription to both Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com and start searching. One is for 2 weeks and the other is 4 weeks. After that you pay for a subscription. I was able to find quite a bit what I was looking for. gs Information on the above named subject. He was declared MIA in November 1944. He was from Bohemia NY. He was the husband of my Mother- in- law the former Mary (Mae) McDonald. Thank you.

I wish I had seen this before. I have done much research for Bohemia, NY. Anyway, best newspaper resource is free - nyshistoricnewspapers.org . Put his name and select within five words and click on Suffolk County. Lots of results. Sorry for her loss. You probably won't see this. He is buried in Florence, so not MIA, but KIA.
