I am looking for information about my uncle, Vincent Amoroso who served on the Italian campaign on the Second World War. I know that he was in Verona, Italy. I was just a kid when he came home from the service. He never spoke about his war experiences. I believe he may have been reported missing when he was trapped behind enemy lines in Italy. But he made his way back to our lines. If anyone knows how I might find out about his service in the war, I would be very grateful. Thank you,

Thank you, Sal Calabro bluebillranch@yahoo.com Sal, You'll have to start reading. There were 15,000+ men in the 88th and there aren't any 88th historians that have all this knowledge memorized or many vets that are around to ask but you're lucky that the division files exist to read. There's quite a bit on the MtMestas.com website. gs

Does anyone know why the 913 th caint be searched through the MtMestas website? Hi. The reason is because there's not that much out there on the 913th FA that's in the public domain. I have only one or two documents and so even though I have the 913th FA in the navigation column, I never completed a web page on them like with several of the other subjects with disabled greyed out links. Whenever it comes up I'll usually just send whatever I have to whoever is asking. What do you have so far? gs
